Our 4 teams continue to enjoy success with the 1st & 4th sitting proudly on top of their divisions and still unbeaten. The 2nd team are lying 2nd and the 3rd team in 4th place after week 7 of the season having won all but 1 of their matches so far.

Our junior coaching on a Saturday morning are also proving popular with 11 young people benefiting from these 1 hour sessions; so much so that we now have a junior mini league for the first time in years

Club Dinner & Presentation of Prizes

November 19, 2008

The annual club dinner was held at the club on Friday 7th November. The night was a big success and thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended. Well done to Caroline Eadie and Margo  Maxwell who arranged the evening and to Lilias Lamont who organised all the table decorations. Pictures will be available soon on the website.

The Season So Far

November 7, 2008

With 5 matches played the club has had a superb start to the season.  The 1st and 4th teams have won all their matches so far and sit proudly on top of their divisions. The 2nd team and 4th teams have each won 4 out of 5 and are also very highly placed in their respective divisions.

The mini leagues continue to provide excellent competition and we now have 7 divisions with the revised scoring being implemented for the November series. Lets see how this impacts on matches!

Junior coaching has entered its second wave with 8 juniors attending Saturday morning sessions with Jason and his team of assistants - club members Alan Marshall, Stewart Alan & Michael Grant who are all working towards their own coaching qualification.

Connie Gets Scotland Cap

October 29, 2008

Connie Dodds (aged 9) was recently selected to represent Scotland in an u10 regional training match against North East England at Scotstoun. From my memory, this is the first Scotland cap for a Strathgryffe member since Terry Smyth and John Armour played for a Scotland Vets team. Well done Connie.
