If you would like to learn to play tennis or improve your existing game, Derek and his team of coaches are ready to help. They are qualified and licensed, making Strathgryffe the only LTA accredited mini tennis and performance club in the Renfrewshire and Inverclyde areas.

Is coaching just for members? Not at all, but experience shows us that non-members who just come for lessons - without taking advantage of the extra practice available for members - make the least progress. That is why non-member juniors can only sign up for one block of coaching. Besides, members receive a discount on lessons, so it makes sense to sign up. Private individual and group lessons can also be booked directly with Derek. These are available for senior, junior and mini players and several coaches provide this service.

However, there are also many opportunities for youngsters to play for fun and to make new friends with regular group coaching and fun competitions as well as school holiday tennis camps. Then there is also a short programme of fun tournaments - Dutch tournaments, the annual Strawberries and Cream tournament and two Generation Gap tournaments - which are keenly contested but always friendly.

There are leagues and ladder competiions throughout the year and we also have a long-running indoor winter league with teams, handicapped according to players' abilities.
