Derek Becomes Gains Master Performance Coach Award

After 2 weeks of course work at the NTC in London I have now upgraded from my PCA Award to the new top LTA coaching award, the Master Performance Coach qualification. I am the first Scot to get this and one of only 14 coaches in GB. Another first for Strathgryffe.

Master Performance Course

I will be away in London again to complete my coaching upgrade on 3rd May through to 7th May. Sorry for any inconvenience. The good news is that I am learning new stuff to take back to the club.

Information on the 2010 Easter Holiday camps is now available at reception and has been handed out at coaching squads. The next block of coaching from April to June is also included.

Coach to Travel to London

I will be unavailable next weekend (5th to 7th March) as I will be accompanying Cameron Kerr to the UK Masters event at Roehampton in London.

October Camps Bathed in Sunshine

The October Week Mini Camp and Rackets camp were lucky to benefit from glorious sunshine all week. This must be a first. All who attended had a great time. Thanks to a good job by coaches Stephanie Norris and James Reid.

Summer Coaching Programme Enhanced

The club’s summer coaching programme has been beefed up this year with regular red, orange and green mini tennis classes and cardio tennis for adults.  You get 9 weeks but only pay for 7 to reflect the holiday period.
