The squash section recently held their annual Xmas handicap tournament to aid recovery from the excess’s of the festive season.
A new format was played this year with timed games over 7 minutes playing to handicaps set by our coach Martin Woods with the whole tournament being played over an afternoon on a “Champions League” format
After around 4 hours of excellent fun squash the eventual winner was 15 years old Andrew Stark with Martin Lawson the runner up.
A great afternoon of squash was then followed by an evening of beer and curry to ensure that the festive celebrations continued as long as possible.
Back to West league matches this week as all teams strive to build on the excellent performance of the first half of the year
