Merry Christmas to All our Members!

Club Dinner & Presentation of Prizes

Presidents Report
As last year, I had a great time at the club dinner on Fri 30th Nov. The food was great, the company great, the organisation was great, the staff were great, the singer was great and the dancing was ….. interesting definitely some mum and dad dancing going on and a little bit of uncoordinated yooff stuff as well and I’m still rubbish at tops and tails.

Well done to Caroline, Lilias and Margo for once again pulling off another ‘Gryffe success, also to George for compering, rumours of his retirement from the role were greatly exaggerated.

All winners and runners up trophies not collected on Friday are available from reception staff. The junior trophies are also now engraved and ready to be collected.

Annual Strathgryffe Inter- Sport Golf Match

The annual Strathgryffe inter-sport golf day was held at Cochrane Castle on Friday 21st August but was only contested by the tennis and squash sections this year, no fitness! Rumour has it they were scared off!
The tennis team put together some very healthy scores and managed to  win the trophy for the 2nd year in a row.
Despite the team loss and having to award the trophy to Greig again, Captain Michael is still smiling as he managed to score more points than Greig!

Tennis reclaims golf trophy!

Our annual inter sport golf day was held at Kilmacolm Golf Club on Friday 12th September. The fitness section entered a team for the first time but the tennis team proved too strong for both the squash and fitness. Needless to say, Greig was delighted to be handed back the trophy from squash captain Michael!
Could there be a call for a ladies team for next year?!
