As the season moves ever close to its final week another mixed set of results for the mighty Gryffe.
The 1st team had the expected loss against league leaders Giffnock 5-0 with James Dare gaining the only point. The good news is that they are still out of the relegation zone. The 2nd team travelled across Glasgow to SSRC and came away with another 5-0 (18-4) victory which consolidates their place at the top of the table and they are now almost certain of promotion to division 1 for next season. The 3rd team made the long journey to Ayr and unfortunately lost 4-1 (15-3) with, unusually, all games being 3-0. This consolidates their place in division 3 and means promotion is now extremely unlikely. The 4th team entertained SSRC and came out 3-2 (14-9) winners in a closely fought contest. This result leaves the 4th team in a comfortable mid table position with 2 matches to play.
