Well here we are with only 1 more week to go before the season ends. It was a struggle to get 4 full teams out last night with a number of players unavailable or injured which resulted in a seasonal debut for Andrew Stark at 1 in the 3rd team. The 1st team travelled to Newlands and, not unexpectedly, lost 5-0 (18-0) which means relegation is now a serious prospect. However to balance this the 2nd team, despite losing 3-2 ( 14-6) clinched promotion so we will have at least one team in the the top division next year. A weakened 3rd team took on Newlands 5 and came away with a 3-2 (13-8) victory which consolidates their mid table position. The 4th team with 2 under 14's playing, Beth & Findlay, also lost 3-2 (16-6) but are also safely in midtable.
Next week sees the final round of matches being played with the 2nd team looking good to finish the season on top of the division.
